Recent work

The truck you’ll see in the drive

Owner-operated, which is why the person who quoted the job is the one unloading the ties.

The part you’re paying for

Two yards, before and after

Not renderings and not somebody else’s garden. The same corner and the same set of steps, photographed before the work started and again when it was finished.

Stone edging sunk and broken, with the bed washing out into the lawn.
Railroad ties set in a straight run, the bed levelled and the grass line cut back.
The walk down to the steps closing in from both sides.
Cleared back to the concrete and re-bordered in tie, with room to walk again.

What we do

What we take on

Landscape design & planting

Beds laid out, planted and mulched, from a tired strip of ground to something worth looking at from the street.

Retaining walls & hardscaping

Railroad-tie and stone walls built to actually hold a bank, and to still look right against the house.

Bed edging & mulch

Crumbling old edging pulled out and replaced with a clean line that holds its shape through the season.

Yard clean-ups

Overgrown beds cut back, cleared out and hauled away, so the front of the house reads tidy again.

About

Ask for James

Luv-It Landscaping is James’s outfit, and the thing customers write about most is that he turns up and works. The person who prices your job is the person setting the ties in it.

The other thing that comes up is the advice. If a cheaper material will hold better and look better on your ground, that is the one you will be told to buy — which is a strange way to sell landscaping and a very good reason people call back.

In their words

“It is not common for a Business owner to show up to get his/her hands dirty, but at Luv-It you truly get HANDS-ON Service! I was blown away by the quality, attention to detail, professionalism and most importantly the Value.”

— Mark McGee, Google review

“My husband and I have used LUV IT for several years and the work is always TOP NOTCH. If you want quality work done call LUV IT.”

Questions

What people ask before they book

Do you do the work yourself, or send a crew?

James is on the jobs. That is the single thing customers mention most, and it is why the quote and the finished work tend to match.

Are railroad ties better than a stone wall?

Sometimes, and sometimes not. Ties are cheaper, go in faster and suit a lot of Louisville yards. You will get told which one your ground actually needs rather than which one costs more.

Is the estimate free?

Yes. We come out, walk the ground with you and give you a number, with nothing owed if you decide against it.

Can you fix edging that has already fallen apart?

That is a good share of the work. Old edging comes out, the bed gets levelled, and a new run goes in straight — the photos above are exactly that job.

Do you clear overgrown beds, or only build new ones?

Both. Clean-ups on beds that have got away from you are everyday work, and they are usually the cheapest thing you can do to change how the house looks.

Where do you work?

Louisville and the Jefferson County neighbourhoods around it. If you are just outside, call and ask — it is usually fine.
